On Sunday 12th September, Sutherland Drum Division manager Paul Hemming led a party of SQ2 series drum dealers to the Sonor factory near Bad Berleburg in Germany.
Creating entire worlds within three minutes with their intricate jangles and enveloping atmospheres, the partnership of Morrissey and Marr (keenly aided by rhythm twins Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke) was one of rock’n’roll’s truly special ones.
From a background as a precision toolmaker, John Cook started repairing musical instruments around the late 1990’s, eventually opened his own instrument repair store, East Coast Music in 2003 in the town of Hornchurch, 10 miles outside of London England.
